As human beings, we are as much a part of the natural world as robins, ants and oak trees.
As a community in the heart of some of the most beautiful countryside on these islands, we often drive around, finding that, in our busy lives we don't take enough time to 'stop and stare'.
The benefits of doing so are many, and PEAT would like to create more opportunities for experiencing, and connecting with, the natural world of which we are a small part.
PEAT also creates opportunities for action, caring for the beauty around us, and increasing the variety of habitats available for wild plants and creatures. In doing so, we can enjoy the company of fellow humans and learn more about other species in the wild.
If anyone wants to be involved, or find out more, please contact me, Jane Brown, at natural@peatonline.org.uk or call 01672 563 353
There will also be advertising for individual events, so look out for posters. I am also happy to talk on the phone, or meet for a walk or chat, time willing. PEAT wants to connect with as many community groups as possible.
ALL ideas welcome!
